Another proof that domaining and SEO will shape the future of the Internet!

The domain SEO.com was sold for $5M to Mike Mann.

He sold BuyDomains a few years ago for $65+ Million but he didn’t go quietly into retirement. He started a Venture Capital firm in Washington DC called WashingtonVC. Mike has always known the value of good domain names. Most of his startups have excellent Generic Domain Names and he tries to build solid companies on top of those domain names. That is a great formula for success.

Weird things happening to MSN right now..

MSN used to be the spammers paradise - do a search for any valuable keyword and you’ll find 8 out of top 10 results are from spammy blogspot blogs, but it seems that they’re “trying” to fix it, and its about the time, but .. they’ve definitely done something wrong

For example check Buy Phentermine Online, top 3 sites are:

• freeforum101.com
• home.myspace.com
• ripway.com

Which has obviously no relation to the so beloved by se spammers drug..

Another popular drug buy viagra also has free hosting sites and other non related sites ranking in top 10.

With all that blogspot blogs still rank well in msn, but this is most definitely going to change soon…

Remember the old times when google rocked and you could find whatever you looked for in just one search?

Well, google has been all about fighting web spam now and the relevancy of the results, affected by the anti spam algo’s is starting to suck..

I’ve been searching recently for a little icq client for windows and what do i find? First two results are about linux, the third one is some unrelated interview.

And it’s not just one example, happens all the time that I need to do a couple searches in google to find what i want.

Now if you run the same search query in ask.com - all the results are relevant…
