There hae been a lot of buzz lately about google’s click fraud detection methods
and here google tell us that:
“Google has built the following four ‘lines of defense’ for detecting invalid clicks: pre-filtering, online filtering, automated offline detection and manual offline detection, in that order. Google deploys different detection methods in each of these stages: the rule-based and anomaly-based approaches in the pre-filtering and the filtering stages, the combination of all the three approaches in the automated offline detection stage, and the anomaly-based approach in the offline manual inspection stage. This deployment of different methods in different stages gives Google an opportunity to detect invalid clicks using alternative techniques and thus increases their chances of detecting more invalid clicks in one of these stages, preferably proactively in the early stages.” (p. 47)

Google owns a bunch of cool domains.
You can see them here, most of them are just redirected to google.com
Here’re a few gems:
ALLEVIL.ORG
FIREHUNT.COM
466453.COM
By registering and redirecting allevil.org to google.com google admits they’ve changed their strategy

Just got this message to email box:
Good day,
Yesterday I was checking my egold account and was
surprised at what I saw; I had almost 200 ounces of
gold (USD 100,177.90). I never had so much money, (I
only had USD177.90 in my account at he time of this
transaction) I dont know how did they get there. I
clicked on history and saw that money were transferred
2 hours ago, in the memo field I saw your email
address:xxxxxxx@yahoo.com When I was trying to sort this out -
money disappeared from my egold account. I lost my
money and money that came from nowhere. I changed my
password immediately and now I am trying to find out
what has happened. Luckily I made a screenshot with
the transaction history for you to see and tell me
what is going on. I hope that you will let me know
what has happened. I did not contact egold support
yet. I hope that we will be able to sort this matter
ASAP. Before I will contact them.
Regards,
John Gavery.
Well I know this is fraud because I don’t have any egold account for that email address
, but still it’s a cool new way to rob innocent people.
I guess once you reply him telling you have no idea he’d try to get some $$ out of you.. If anyone feels bored I can give you the scammer’s email so you can talk
Also i should mention that most nigerian scam emails i get usually talk about much bigger amounts of at least several million dollars, so this is just insulting
UPDATE: I just noticed there’s more information about this new scam here.

Like lots of other people who are curious about SEO and serps, I like to check the viagra rankings in google. Every time I see lots of new and interesting methods people are using to fool google .. and the funny part is they always succeed!
Go check it yourself now buy viagra
Basicly almost all the sites I see there are NOT supposed to be there. We’d expect viagra.com be on top and other pharmacy sites doing “Ethical White Hat SEO”..
Why do SEO people care so much about viagra?
Do you know how much viagra rankings are worth? Tens of thousands of dollars a day! Yes! If you know how to get them, you can pretty much live on your viagra rankings.
So how can people do it so easily?
How can people get the rankings for the most competitive keyword on the internet in just one day???
Actually it very easy:
- Get an old and trusted google domain, create a subdomain or a page for your viagra site
- get thousands of links: comment and trackback spam and link networks.
- put some viagra affiliate ads, or ppc ads and make some huge cash!
So far we can see people are mostly using free forum hosting and some old university sites for it and huge link networks, lots of .pl sits also.
The moral of the story?
There’re so many exploits and bugs in google that you can use to get rankings, that you would be a fool if you don’t

I’ve been posting a lot of crap lately in different forums and reading a lot of crap others posted too..
And this is kinda useless and a complete waste of time, so I thought I should take another break to get to my more improtant stuff and get more things done.

Sometimes I read adsense forums on DP and there’s so much crap and complete BS posted there..
No names, but here’re some examples, also some threads you should check out..
- A guy saying he’s checking all the ads showing on his site and when he sees an MFA (made for/of/from adsense) site, he filters it from his account. He’s been doing it for a long time and now his average clicks have gone from 1c to 3c per click .. And then others agree with it and say thats a very good method, they’re going to try it too.
- People are afraid of using adlogger because it can be against adsense tos - it’s just a little javascript line of code that you include in your html code, what can be wrong with that?
- This guy is suggesting you to put ALL high paying keywords in the code to get higher clicks
- A thread titled Is there here someone earning at least $2 daily ? is one of the most popular adsense threads on DP?
- People think adsense will ban them for showing ads in front of the visitor in the center of the page - that is what adsense hit map suggests actually…
- Be sure to check this thread to see how much (little?) everyone is making
- People think it’s impossible to have over 50 sites
- People are saying adsense scrapers are not ligitimate and compare BH to adsense fraud..wtf
Oh crap, there’s so much misunderstanding, even among the experienced adsensers.
Well, tbh I’m just happy it’s this way, less competition for me

Looks like a lot of DP members got banned from Digg, because of the “digg me and I digg you” threads, they talk about it here, my account got deleted too, but that’s not going to stop me :p
Did digg ban you too?

Cash contest are getting very popular lately. We’ve seen a lot of SEO contests, and now there’re contests just to help get links or draw people to new forums.
It seems to be the next big thing on the web and along with social bookmarking stuff it will be the next seo method.
Well, first there’s this stupid $1000 contest at earners forum and some other free stuff, that actually caused shoemoney get involved and blog about it.
That forum is actually quite funny, they say the contest is $20,000, but actually it’s just $1,000 and some other stuff which they say is worth another $4,000, besides that you get to see how little everyone is making and how proud everyone is about it
I’ve joined, but I’m not going to go any further and submit some stupid application. I’m sure their so called hidden forums have nothing really interesting anyway, just another good marketing trick to get people interested and involved. Actually I like the way they managed the contest, there’s a lot to learn from it, now lets see if it’ll stick and if the forum will be popular after the contest is over..
Shoemoney is also arranging another contest himself. This is really lame, and I can’t believe I linked twice to shoemoney’s blog in one post, he definitely knows how to get links to his blog. Anyway, now he owes me a trackback
So all this stuff kinda gave me an idea to make a contest too, once I launch my findinforums forum, which should be quite soon, I’ll also arrange a big cash contest
